Great West Adventure Park is a popular BMX biking track, and skiers enjoy the slops at Canyon Ski Hill located only 10 minutes from the city. The city is proud to offer its residents ample green space and parkland within the city, including the picturesque Bower Ponds in Waskasoo Park, Great Chief Athletic Park, Kiwanis Picnic Park, and the popular Heritage Ranch near the Red Deer River, which offers horseback riding and hay rides in addition to its park and picnic facilities.
